To unlock some of the fun stuff on Empire Avenue you must visit the Shop. It is that grey button toward the top right of your screen. You can acquire a range of upgrades, bonuses, & other stuff you may want or need. Some stuff you have to buy with cash; other stuff has an option to pay with eaves.
For a few of the items, the eaves price is based on your wealth. Those include the Portfolio upgrades and Dessert. A Portfolio upgrade will expand the number of different profiles that you can own. Dessert allows you to purchase 100 shares of a profile more than your Pie limit. You can only apply 1 Dessert to each profile.
More Dessert is an option that works exactly like Dessert. You can only buy More Dessert with cash. You can apply More Dessert even to a profile where you have invested Dessert.
Note: You can apply Dessert & More Dessert even to Fresh Faces. I don’t recommend this because Fresh Faces are so unpredictable. You cannot recover or transfer the Dessert that you have applied to a profile.
Pie is what EA calls the limit on the number of shares that you can purchase in a profile. There are currently 16 Pie upgrades for a maximum Pie limit of 1,600 shares per profile.
You can also purchase Vacation Mode. Vacation Mode will freeze your current network scores and maintain the dividend that you pay your investors even if you have no social media activity during your vacation. You cannot buy or sell shares during your vacation. You can engage in creating & completing missions. The social media component of your share price is frozen, but folks buying & selling your shares will continue to impact your share price. You will continue to receive your dividend payment from your investments.
If you are tired of being broke, you can even buy eaves from the Empire Avenue Shop. Of course, that might result in a different kind of broke!
